History Founded in 1888 as a cement products factory. On July 20, 1951, the company was named VEB (K) Kunststein und Betonwerk Oschatz, producing: Kunststein, concrete products (Stegzementdielen, pipes, rings), quarry, gravel pits. In the years after 1960: Manufacturing of structural precast components such as beams, columns, lintels, wall elements, finishing elements, structural precast components for agricultural construction, civil engineering, later retaining wall elements, U-shaped channel elements, lintel beams, ceiling slabs. On September 19, 1990, the GmbH - Betonwerk Oschatz was founded. With our business idea of manufacturing element ceilings, we were one of the first plants in the new federal states. Concurrently, the production of structural precast components such as columns, lintels, beams, foundations, and special parts began. Later, the production of double walls, solid walls, straight and spiral staircases, and prefabricated balconies was added. In 1995/96, we built one of the most modern precast plants of its kind in Europe. CAD-CAM controlled multifunctional system for the production of element ceilings, double walls, solid walls, sandwich elements, and other flat elements. Since 1997, a member of the Syspro - Quality Community. We are capable of producing nearly all structural semi-finished and finished parts, enabling comprehensive structural concepts and solutions. In 1999, chosen as the "Company of the Year" in the city of Oschatz. In 2001, awarded the "Oskar for the Mittelstand 2001." This annually awarded prize is the only economic and media award in Germany specifically aimed at the Mittelstand as a pillar of our economy. 600 Saxon companies were nominated, of which 70 made it to the final round; 10 companies were awarded the "Oskar for the Mittelstand." The 9-meter long and 3-meter wide pedestrian and bicycle bridge at the Oschatz State Garden Show is a special innovation. In 2006, the bridge received an "Award for Outstanding Concrete Structures" at the international fib congress 2006. In 2007, the FBF Betondienst GmbH and the trade magazine BFT International awarded the Innovation Prize of the supplier industry for concrete components. Innovations in the fields of concrete technology, manufacturing technology, product handling, reinforcement and fastening technology, services, machinery and plant engineering, and automation are honored. The bridge received the Innovation Prize 2007 at the 51st Ulm Concrete Days. In 2015, Economic Prize of the Oschatzer Allgemeinen Zeitung.
